Hi I’m Jemma. I am in my early 30s. Crikey, that sounds old.
I live in Essex in the U.K. I’m married to Chris and we have 3 children, H who is 5, M who is 2 and our youngest A who was born in July 19. This blog was started as a way to record our lives as a family, and everything that’s in-between. I had been thinking about writing this since my son was born 3 years ago and I finally just told myself ‘Just do it already!’ Over the years I’ve had an increasing urge to have a creative outlet, so I’m hoping this also allows me a little self indulgence along the way. I’m not entirely sure where this blog will go, but I think that’s all part of the experience, and that’s what excites me about it. If you know me that in itself is very strange, I’m not the sort of person who is impulsive or who likes surprises. I feel like us as a family, this blog will grow and change.
The title of my blog is a bit obscure so let me tell you the little story behind the name, ‘Jargom’. I’m the eldest of three sisters and when my youngest sister was small and learning to talk she couldn’t say Jemma. No idea how but she started calling me ‘Jargom’ (which I think is even harder to say myself). It’s kind of stuck and my sister still calls me ‘Jar’ to this day.
Thank you to everyone who reads my blog, I hope you like what you see and that you would love to stick around.
